Have ed other versions of this and I think the racing is some of the very best in the genre anywhere. It’s fantastic. However this particular version is unplayable to me because of one thing: Gears won’t shift, if they do shift you can’t predict if the gear will stay in the selected gear or slip back down or back up. From neutral you gear up and you slip down into reverse. It’s a mess. I don’t know if it’s my controls or what, but I’m just doing what I did in all previous versions which didn’t give me this trouble. I suggest being cautious about replacing an older version with this until you know it’s actually controllable.
